Find Your Happiness: Professional Sports Games

We like sportz and we don’t care who knows!! – Lonely Island (fave skit). I’ve always been a huge tomboy growing up. I enjoyed watching sports and playing them. Pretty sure I was involved in every sport there was with an exception of a few. In highschool, I played a sport each season and even in college I got involved with intramural sports. I love being a part of a team. It’s super weird because my all time favorite thing about playing a sport was the practice. Most people look at me like I’m out of my mind but honestly I found this to be the best moment of team sports and here’s why:

  1. I understood how my team worked as a whole. We had to bond with one another or the game would fall apart.
  2. Practice showed us how tough we were and how bad we really wanted to be there. I love challenging myself mentally and physically as it grows character even outside of the playing field.
  3. It was always super fun. Even though it was tough getting in shape and ready for the next rivalry match, I was able to enjoy the company of like-minded people that become lifelong friend of mine.

Sports now are harder to become a part of. Even in college, the one thing that really got me was that intramurals, yeah, there is no practice… I hated that. You literally just walk on a field and throw up your hands saying, “welp, let’s play then?” Super lame and what’s worse is that I have no chance finding teams that practice now, unless I go back to highschool!

So here’s my fix, I’ve found my happiness in pro sports games. Even though it’s completely opposite of physically playing. However, when I went to my first couple of games, I really loved watching the energy, passion and dedication of each player. I remember those feelings and it’s amazing to see outside of just a television screen.

Recently, well within this year, I’ve gone to a professional soccer, baseball, hockey and basketball game! It’s been such a fun way to get out of the house and hang out with my friends. Also, dressing up for sports are probs my fave thing about going to sports! Finding that one thing or event that makes you happy is amazing because it really gives you a sigh of relief from reality for a split second.Don’t overwork yourself people. Tickets aren’t even that expensive either and if you’re have a hard time finding good prices, try this app here.

I’ve been pretty boujie at the last few games but why not. Here’s some of my favorite memories!!
